My quote in the feature about the theme "Generations":
"The most beautiful thing to me about photography is the privilege of capturing the real connection, emotion, and love between people, while also getting to connect with them yourself. It's why I love what I do. With Family photos specifically, it's the idea that I get to play a role in capturing moments that will become tangible heirlooms, cherished for years to come. Everyone's had a moment in their lives when mom or grandma pulls out the dusty hat box or scrapbook, showing photos of their childhood and your own. It's so special to think that for the families I photograph, photos I took will be looked on and loved for generations. It's why not just me, but all photographers, do what we do: to preserve a feeling, a moment, a family... for lifetimes."

Where do you pull inspiration from when you feel completely dry?
"For me, photography has never been a transactional pursuit; but an intentional one. I have never picked up a camera out of necessity or for the sake of a ledger, but rather out of a genuine, persistent need to document the human experience.
When the well of inspiration runs dry, I pivot away from the technical and return to my 'Why.' I remind myself that while human memory is a fragile, fading thing, a photograph is a permanent anchor. I create because I believe in the power of making others feel seen, beautiful, and valued. When I feel 'stuck,' I look back at the intimate, unrepeatable moments I’ve been privileged to witness. Reconnecting with the gravity of those milestones and the idea that my clients continue to trust me with these invaluable scenes, reignites my passion. It reminds me that I am not just taking a picture, but preserving emotion that will allow families to relive their most cherished chapters... over and over again."
