A sentimental reintroduction...
For the last 7 years, Pictures by Genna hasn’t just been a business—it has been a piece of my heart. Building this brand has been an incredible journey, driven from day one by a genuine, deep-rooted love for capturing fleeting moments and connecting with real people.
Why the Change?
Over these past 7 years, I’ve grown so much. Both as a person and as an artist. I've learned that photography isn't just about taking pictures, it's about the laughter, love, and tears of the in between... the raw, unfiltered human experience. To capture the beauty of people and their lives... and the stories they have to share. Creating something not just for clients to enjoy now but for them to rediscover in 10, 30, 80 years. When hair turns grey, memories get fuzzy, and time is long gone they will always have a moment of their story to look back on. To feel again, for generations to come.
This ideal is what brought this rebrand to life. A realization that it was well past time for my brand to grow into this sentiment with me.
So it is with a full heart I can introduce to you: Stories by Genna
This new name is so much more than a rebrand. It is a realignment with the true heart of my work. This name reflects the idea that my brand has never been aiming to just deliver images but instead the ideal that it's about preserving memories, capturing emotions, and telling stories. It's about creating something meaningful that will last a lifetime.
It’s never just been a new name or a fresh aesthetic; it's a renewed promise to you. A promise to keep creating something deeply meaningful, intentional, and timeless that will last a lifetime and be passed down for generations.

More than just a tagline, 'Simply you, captured' is the very heart of Stories by Genna. It reflects my belief that true beauty lies in authenticity, in the genuine presence of each individual. When you hire me as your photographer, my goal isn't to change how you look or pose you unrealistically. Instead, I aim to capture you and all your beautifully ordinary moments, just as they are. This conviction is deeply rooted in my faith, the understanding that every person is created in God's image, perfect in His eyes. My photography isn't about creating a facade; it's about honoring the individual, celebrating their unique story, and capturing the light that shines from within—a light that reflects His perfect creation and unending love for each of us.
More about me ...
Just a quick summary of my life for you guys:
I'm 22 years old and I live in Chipley, Florida (where Stories by Genna is based). I graduated from the civil engineering program at FSU in 2026 and now work full-time at an engineering firm in Marianna, FL. I recently got married and when I'm not taking photos or designing roadways I'm renovating our 1970's fixer-upper Nathan and I purchased last year! We have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Opal who just turned 3. I love tulips, old houses, my small town, baking, thrifting, and photography. And, as I'm sure I've mentioned, I have run Stories by Genna for 7 years now! I lead a busy life but I'm so grateful for every part of it!

I've been Published !!
I'm always challenging myself to be better and to grow with my business. That's why in 2025 I promised myself I'd submit my images to constructive criticism, competitions, and magazines. All in the hopes of reaching new people and improving my skills and credentials. Thanks to the commitment I've made to myself for growth in 2025, I have now been publish 15+ times! Most notably in in Lens and Luxe Magazine, Gallery Lane Magazine, Bold and Beautiful magazine, and The Photograph[Her] Magazine! Such a dream come true. So grateful for all of the opportunities and support I've had in 2025 and cannot wait to see where 2026 continues to takes Stories by Genna.

It's why I love what I do. With Family photos specifically, it's the idea that I get to play a role in capturing moments that will become tangible heirlooms, cherished for years to come. Everyone's had a moment in their lives when mom or grandma pulls out the dusty hat box or scrapbook, showing photos of their childhood and your own. It's so special to think that for the families I photograph, photos I took will be looked on and loved for generations. It's why not just me, but all photographers, do what we do: to preserve a feeling, a moment, a family... for lifetimes."
